Payment & Shipping


Thistledown Farm is located in Northwest Ohio. While we would love to meet every one of our new puppy families in person, we know that isn’t always possible. Because we are USDA licensed and inspected, we are able to offer shipping by air as an option to our clients.





Shipping to the continental U.S. is available through United Airline’s “Pet Safe” program, for a fee of $400. We have used this service for many years, and have always had positive experiences. They do a great job of caring for our pups! We can also arrange shipping to Alaska and Canada, although additional charges apply. Other options for travel can be arranged, such as a pet taxi, or meeting us a distance of up to two hours away, on a case by case basis. Contact us for more information!




Deposits of $500 are accepted to reserve a pup from a planned litter, or to hold an available pup. Choice of pups from a litter is awarded in the order deposits are received. Deposits are not refundable, but can be transferred to a future litter or any other available pup.

Thistledown Farm accepts cash, cashier’s checks, major credit cards and PayPal as payment forms for deposits and remaining balances at puppy pick up.Deposits are deducted from the total listed puppy price, with the balance due at eight weeks old, when the pups are ready to go home. Occasionally, arrangements may be made for the puppy to stay with us longer, and appropriate boarding fees will apply.
