We Love Thistledown Farm!

I can’t imagine buying a dog from anyone else. We were interested in a Golden puppy with a calm demeanor and friendly personality. We have two little kids at home so it's wild enough!!

I was very interested in finding a responsible breeder. I wanted a breeder who had a few good quality litters per year and one who did genetic testing to screen for problems common to the breed. Bonny was recommended from my Aunt who owns a local doggy daycare. She has a few dogs from Thistledown Farms and had nothing but great things to say! I feel very lucky to have gotten her information and I can’t imagine buying a dog from anyone else. I could tell she genuinely cared for her dogs as family members, and I felt I would receive a lot of ongoing support once I purchased one of her dogs.

We lost our golden about 5 months ago to cancer at the young age of 8. It was beyond devastating for me and my family. Bonny was more than accommodating and was by our side every step of the way. She and her family are incredible people and raise wonderful, smart, beautiful dogs. Our experience has been universally positive. If we could have eight of her dogs, we probably would! I could write a novel about our dog. He's gorgeous, well-tempered, and great with the kids. I can’t say enough good things. We can’t imagine our lives without our wonderful Fido! We are extremely grateful for everything!

Gigi is doing great!  She appears content and peaceful. Last night was not too bad, she cried for 5 minutes or so when I first put her in the crate, but then slept from 9:00pm to 5:15am!  She peed outside every time we went out, plus used the peewee pad 6 times today while we were playing. Thank you for your information on crate training.  I really appreciate how responsive you have been to my questions. I'm grateful for it, your knowledge has already been a great help to us!

Hi Bonny,

Just thought I'd update you on Charlie. She absolutely loves Chicago and all of the snow we have had this winter! I have included a picture of her smiling while playing at the park.

I could not have asked for a more perfect pup! She goes everywhere with me. Her favorites are running on the lakefront and playing at the park. She is a local celebrity in my neighborhood...everyone knows her by name (even if they don't know mine, haha!).

We are looking forward to some warm weather and swimming in Lake Michigan this summer.

Hi Bonny,

We are very happy to have our new family member. Her name is officially Rose-Elise. This is a combination of our daughters middle names - Carolyn Rose and Jacquelyn Elise. We call her Rose for short.

She is doing very well. Well mannered and learning as fast as she is growing. She is doing well with crate training. She had her first Vet appointment and received another immunization. There were no health problems found.

We are starting to walk using a leash but she is not exactly happy with not being in control but I'm sure with time she will adapt.

I hope all is well. I wanted to send you an update on our little Brinkley. She is doing great and growing like crazy! We love having her and I want to thank you for helping us get such an amazing puppy. We are starting to socialize her with our cousins golden retriever (image attached) and she is doing great and learning from her.

Again, thank you for your help this summer in giving us such a great dog!
